Michael Lowry Valerie O'Reilly note

And the Fine Gael cronyism circus continues to entertain…

This week we hear that former Communications Minister Michael Lowry, who was condemned by the Moriarty Tribunal for his role in assisting Denis O’Brien to win the contentious second mobile phone operator licence, passed the Taoiseach Enda Kenny a bizarre handwritten note during a recent Dail sitting.

The hastily scrawled missive urged the Taoiseach to reappoint Valerie O’Reilly to the board of the National Transport Authority, citing not her ability but the fact that “she’s not bad looking either”.
